Fresh Breath Treats
You will need:
- 250g Buckwheat or Spelt flour
- ½ tablespoon Coconut oil
- 2 heaped tbs Parsley (fresh or dried)
- 2 heaped tbs Mint (fresh or dried)
- 1 Egg – beaten
- ½ Apple – grated
- ¼ tsp Fennel seeds
- 50 ml water
How To;
- Preheat your oven to 180c/Fan 160c or gas mark 4
- Place all flour herbs and seeds in a bowl
- Add the oil, egg and apple
- Mix all together and stir in the water to make a dough
- Knead for 2 mins
- Turn out onto a floured surface and roll to an even thickness of about ¼ inch
- Cut out your treats with your chosen cutter – don’t make them too big!
- Place onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment
- Bake for around 20 mins until golden
- The treats must be completely cold before sealing in an airtight container…..they’ll keep for 4 months, but will probably be gobbled up before then!
