Fresh Breath Treats

You will need:

  • 250g Buckwheat or Spelt flour
  • ½ tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 2 heaped tbs Parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 2 heaped tbs Mint (fresh or dried)
  • 1 Egg – beaten
  • ½ Apple – grated
  • ¼ tsp Fennel seeds
  • 50 ml water



How To;

  • Preheat your oven to 180c/Fan 160c or gas mark 4
  • Place all flour herbs and seeds in a bowl
  • Add the oil, egg and apple
  • Mix all together and stir in the water to make a dough
  • Knead for 2 mins
  • Turn out onto a floured surface and roll to an even thickness of about ¼ inch
  • Cut out your treats with your chosen cutter – don’t make them too big!
  • Place onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment
  • Bake for around 20 mins until golden
  • The treats must be completely cold before sealing in an airtight container…..they’ll keep for 4 months, but will probably be gobbled up before then!
