Broadstone Fun Day & Rock on the Rec – What a Paw-some Day! 🐾

Sunday 5th July marked The Labrador Rescue Trust’s very first visit to Broadstone Fun Day and Rock on the Rec—and what a fantastic debut it was!

The weather couldn’t have been better: warm sunshine, a lovely cooling breeze, and plenty of shade beneath our gazebo, which was especially appreciated by our four-legged volunteers, Poppy and Bud who stole the day, charming visitors, making new friends, and helping to draw people to our stand. The day was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about The Labrador Rescue Trust and chat about the work we do.

One of the biggest crowd-pleasers? Our Find the Dog Poo game! It had children (and a few adults!) hunting high and low, with plenty of laughter, smiles, and bashful giggles.

A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers, whose enthusiasm kept everything running smoothly, and to everyone who stopped by to support us. Thanks to their generosity, we raised £147 to help Labradors in need.

We’ll definitely be wagging our tails all the way back to Broadstone next year—we can’t wait! 🦴🐶
