The Labrador Rescue Trust is always grateful for additional volunteer support within the Southwest. While experience with Labradors and dog rescue is beneficial, it is not required. We offer a variety of volunteer roles:
- Re-homing Volunteers: Assist with home and/or dog assessments and transportation.
- Fundraising Volunteers: Help organise, attend, and raise awareness and funds for the charity.
- Foster Home Volunteers: Open their homes to Labradors, providing further assessments while they await rehoming.
- Administration Volunteers: Support the charity’s operational and fundraising efforts.

The charity will provide a breakdown of role requirements, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and Health & Safety documentation, along with insurance coverage and full training. Once training is complete, Volunteers will receive an LRT-branded t-shirt and ID badge.
Please note: As the charity does not operate a rehoming centre or boarding kennels, we are unable to accommodate work placements or work experience requests. We also cannot accept Volunteers under 18 or college students seeking course study placements.
