Ashurst Walk March 30th, 2019
This year Area D walk started at the Happy Cheese car park (free car park) in Ashurst, New Forest, Hampshire
We followed a path alongside the main railway line from Southampton to Bournemouth, through a gate that took us into a field that was rather boggy in places but the dogs had great fun, snorkelling, sitting, jumping in the water. All the supporters managed to navigate their way over, across the water with the help of logs and a few bridges.
Once through the field we followed the gravel path around the Langdown enclosure, which went through woodland and then into open country side.
Beautiful views, we were very lucky with the weather, sunshine and very warm for March. Throughout the route there were plenty of places for the dogs to have more high jinks.
The walk took us about two and half hours raising £150 for the Trust, we all finished with a well earnt beverage in the pub
